부모님과 저는 서울 근교에 위치한 방이 3개 이고 화장실이 2개인 아파트에 살고 있습니다. 부모님께서 가장 큰 방을 사용하고 계시고 다음으로 큰 방을 제가 사용하고 있습니다. 나머지 방 하나는 아버지가 사무실로 꾸며 놓으셨습니다. 저는 그 방을 잘 사용하지 않지만 어머니께서는 잠시 머리를 식히고 싶으실 때 휴식공간으로 사용하기도 하십니다. 우리 거실은 꽤 넓은 편이고 햇빛이 잘 들어오는 편입니다. 부모님이 최근에 제법 큰돈을 들여 거실에 홈시어터 시스템을 구비해 놓으셔서 저는 거실에서 DVD를 보며 시간 보내는 것을 좋아합니다. 부엌은 거실과 연결이 되어있습니다. 어머니께서 원하시는 만큼 넓지는 않지만 나름대로 부엌으로서의 역할을 잘합니다.

My parents and I live in a 3-bed, 2-bath apartment in a suburb outside of Seoul. My folks use the largest room as the master bedroom; my room is the next largest. My dad turned the extra room into an office. I don’t usually use it. But it’s my mom’s sanctuary when she needs a little time away from it all. Our living room is quite spacious, and it gets a lot of natural light. My parents recently splurged on a new home theater system, so I like to hang around in the living room watching DVDs. Our kitchen is connected to toe living room. It’s not as big as my mom would like it to be, but it gets the job done.
