한 박사         좋습니다. 제 발표는 여기까지 입니다. 약속드린 대로 20분 정도 여러분이 가지고 계신 질문을 받도록 하겠습니다. 질문 있으신 분? 질문자 1       직장에서의 남성 장악 문제는 조금 무시하신 듯 합니다. 박사님의 연구결과는 일본 기업에서는 여성들이 거의 고위 직책을 맡지 않는 이유 때문 아닐까요? 한 박사         아주 재미있는 질문이네요. 아쉽게도 시간 관계상 제 발표에는 경영에서의 성별문제는 언급하지 않았습니다. 저는 경영 스타일에만 집중하였지요. 그러나 이 점은 다음에 기회가 생긴다면 좀 더 시간을 두고 토론해 볼 만한 사항인 것 같습니다. 질문자 2       (아주 조용히) 한 박사님, 연구 조사가 어떻게 만들어진 것인지 여쭤 봐도 될까요? 한 박사         죄송합니다만, 못 들었습니다. 조금 더 크게 말씀해 주시겠습니까? 질문자 2       (좀 더 크게, 확실하게) 네, 연구 조사가 어떻게 만들어진 것인지 궁금합니다. 통제집단을 이용하신 것인지요? 한 박사         무슨 말씀이신지 알겠네요… 연구 조사의 진행 과정에 관심이 있으신 거군요? 질문자 2       네. 한 박사         유감스럽게도 그 분야는 제 전문이 아닌 것 같군요. 제가 직접 그 연구를 진행한 것이 아닙니다. 하지만 도움이 된다면 나중에 참고 자료를 드리지요. 질문자 2       감사합니다.

Dr. Han          All right. That’s the end of my presentation. As I promised, I will spend the next 20 minutes or so answering any questions you may have. Who has a question for me? Questioner 1  I fell that you somewhat ignored the question of male domination at work. Don’t you think that is due to the fact that few women take senior positions in Japanese companies? Dr. Han          I think that’s a very good question. I am afraid though, I didn’t have time to address the question of gender in management. I was mainly concentrating on the question of management style. However, I feel sure that this topic would be worth discussing at length on another occasion. Questioner 2  (very quietly) Dr. Han, could I ask you how the surveys were set up? Dr. Han          I’m sorry I didn’t catch that. Could you speak a little louder, please? Questioner 2  (louder, clearer) Well, I was wondering how the surveys were set up. You know, did you use a control group? Dr. Han          I see… You’re interested in the procedure of the surveys? Questioner 2  That’s right. Dr. Han          I’m afraid that’s really outside my field. I myself was not involved in carrying out the surveys. But I can give you the references afterwards, if that would be helpful. Questioner 2  Thank you
