저는 절대 병가를 내지 않습니다. 그러나 몇 달전, 한번은 식중독에 걸리는 바람에 어쩔수 없이 그렇게 해야만 했습니다. 하루는 오전 중에 노점상에서 닭 꼬치를 사 먹었습니다. 맛이 약간 이상하다고 느꼈지만 그냥 무시하고 먹었습니다. 그러나 그날 오후부터 속이 몹시 불편했습니다. 저녁이 되어서는 배가 몹시 아팠고 먹은 것이 넘어올 것같아서  화장실에 여러 번 가야 했습니다. 그런 증상은 밤새 지속되었습니다. 저는 다음 날 병가를 내고 아침에 일어나자마자 병원을 찾았습니다. 너무 진이 빠진 나머지 병가를 하루 더 내야 했습니다.

I never call in sick for work. But I had to do so this one time when I got food poisoning a few months ago. I ate a chicken kebad from  a street vendor earlier in the day. I thought the taste was a little off but just ate in anyways. However, later that day,my stomach felt really uneasy. In the evening, I had a sharp pain in  my stomach and I had to go to the bathroom many ties because I felt like throwing up. That pretty much went on all night long. I called in sick for work the next day and went to see a doctor first thing in the morning. I was so drained that I had to take a second day off work.
